This past week, USF Spring Fling events have been in full swing. This year’s Mardi Gras inspired theme is Rendezvous on the Bayou! One of the best events of the week had been USF’s annual talent show. The show included several unique performances and had a great variation! One of the performers, Amber Hughes, and her roommate, Méghan Flanary, sang Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked. I had the chance to speak to Amber about the show.
Is this the first year you participated in the Talent Show?
Yes.
How did you feel before and after the show?
Before I was really excited. It was the first time I ever did something like this. After the show, Méghan and I cried because if you know the song Defying Gravity, it’s about two friends going their separate ways. And Méghan is a senior and will be graduating soon.
Of the other performances, which was your favorite?
The winners, they preformed “We Are Young”
